Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We start with a consultation - from there we can move into a letter of intent and start the bid process to give you the most precise numbers possible within your budget.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We'll meet for a consultation at your home at your convenience while you describe what you're hoping for in a finished product. I'll provide my input and we can discuss timeline, budget, materials and design and go from there!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Of course my general contractor's training, but also years of real estate transactions that inform me on the the best way people style, organize and construct their homes to fit their lives.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
In a past life, I was a real estate agent (still hold a license for clients) and realized my FAVORITE part of the job was discussing the possibilities of homes as we toured them then advising my clients on the best use of their spaces. We always stayed in touch and I continued to refer contractors, materials and processes. It was then I realized my true calling!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
All types! People looking to have their homes reflect their personalities better or upgrade to match their current tastes!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
A mid-century modern bathroom that took 6 weeks to complete. The home was in original condition and we were tasked with updating the bathroom while keeping it's original charm

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Choose someone who will listen to you, respect your wishes, and be honest during the process.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
They should have an idea of the budget, but also be flexible as things often happen during construction. We do our best to stay on task, but unforeseen problems always occur. We're always upfront with our clients about issues and the best solutions possible.
