Introduction

//Kitchens, Bathrooms, Basements, Additions, Decks, Home Maintenance// AGSCC is a professional remodeling company servicing the Metro-Detroit area. We specialize in kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions, and decks. We also provide home maintenance services. Our process is simple: 1. We discuss your project particulars during our free telephone consultation. These particulars include your wants, needs, motivations, and preferences. In most cases, free pricing information is provided, so that you can better understand your investment, before making any commitments. 2. We meet during an in-person consultation. For small projects, pricing is generally created and presented during this meeting, which can be signed for, paid for, and scheduled. For larger, custom, more complicated projects, such as kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions, and decks, a Design Agreement is signed, and your project begins the design phase. For insurance work, AGSCC can be hired to provide detailed insurance estimates for your insurance company. A day and time is picked for us to measure and document via video and picture. 3. We get to work! If your project enters into the design phase, we schedule a day to measure your space, take picture and video, and continue any discussion on your wants and needs. We use our detailed notes to create floorplans and 3D renderings, bringing your project to life, where alterations can be made via computer. Once a design and plan have been selected, a contract is signed, and the scheduling begins! Regardless of your project size, we love to help. Reach out through our various means of contact to discuss your next project. Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
It all depends on the project. Sometimes the customer and I can come to a set price, other times hourly is the best option, for both parties. The beauty of it is, the work doesn't start until we agree on pricing!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Let's talk! Let me pick your brain. Tell me what you want, and tell me your concerns. I want to work with you and get the job done right.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
My training is entirely hands-on through an apprenticeship, and through self-study. I am constantly learning new, exciting things.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I've always been fascinated with taking things apart and putting them back together. I was job hunting at the time and responded to numerous ads. I landed a job with a great landscaping company and loved it. A few weeks later a small remodeling company called back, leaving me with a tough decision. Quit a job I enjoyed to pursue remodeling? I filed my two-weeks the next morning, and would make the same decision again if I had to.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Every customer is unique, and that is the beauty of the business. I see new sights and experiences every day, along with new projects and challenges. I'll tell you what - I've gotten very, very good at directions around Metro Detroit!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
A project I'd like to mention involves a customer living in a very nice part of town, with very expensive taste. I was tearing out marble and replacing it with more expensive stone! The end result was incredible, and it was entirely designed by the customer. The job took longer than expected, but I wanted to make sure everything was done right. I'd rather take my time and do it right then do it over!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
My number one tip is to trust your gut. If you have a bad feeling about the project, the design, the scope, the budget, or anything else, address it immediately. Peace of mind is so important! It's better to walk away than to force yourself into an uncomfortable position.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Anything they are confused about, or want to know more about. The customer should be fully comfortable with their decision to start a project!
