Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We are a very competitive company with industry standard pricing.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
The first step is the set a time to go over what your wants and needs are and give you a detailed estimate. Once you have decided to use Peace of Mind Contracting, we set a time to go over your scope of work, answer any questions you may have, go over contract and add you to the schedule

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have a degree in engineering

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have always been a hands on person. I did some work on my own house and friends/family kept asking me to do work on their homes. After a couple years, word of mouth spread and I had people calling me that I had never even met. I decided to get my MHIC license and it took off.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Residential, investors and realtors

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I recently did a full remodel on 3500 sq. ft. home in Columbia. It was a 90 day scope of work and it turned out great. The customer was very pleased and has referred me other work as well. Thanks Kevin if your reading this : )

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I always recommend getting at least 2-3 estimates so you can compare apples to apples. Don't always go with the cheapest one in this industry. Make sure your contractor is licensed and punctual. Don't ever pay more than 1/3 deposit for your scope of work (against Maryland law) and finally, go with the contractor that you feel comfortable doing business with. The goal is to find one contractor that gives you "peace of mind" and use them for everything you ever need.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Think about what your wants and needs are. It is my goal to deliver those to you. Budgeting doesn't always allow for both but I will do my best to work with your budget and get you exactly what you want.
