I have been in the residential construction industry for 27 years. In 2016 I started American Beauty Woodcraft, we are a Professional carpentry service and I strive for 100% customer satisfaction. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

my prices may be higher than some; but in this industry you definitely get what you pay for.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

after contact has been made: establish a good time to meet, meet and discuss project overview and make suggestions, prepare an estimate, if estimate is excepted I then scheduled a date to start collect any required materials deposit then show up on the date and time we set.(I do show up when I say I will)

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have worked as a carpenter for 27 years. As a carpenter you have your hands in a little bit of everything the construction industry can throw at you. That being said most of my training I equate to experience. I do however carry a OSHA 30 certification and I require all employees to have a minimum of OSHA 10 certification.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

my father owned a general contractoring firm . so I have been exposed to this type of work most of my life .

What types of customers have you worked with?

I've worked with customers of all size shapes and attitude descriptions. most of which I would work for again only a few have I encountered that I was very very glad to see the job complete.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Recently completed a full kitchen remodel, including new flooring, custom built island, painted existing cabinets and walls, updated hardware on cabinets, installed tile backsplash, and new light fixtures. start to finish the job took 8 working days that spend a 2 week time period.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Take a close look at how long they have been working in the area.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

budget, time frame for completion, and upcoming events in their personal life.
