Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Our work quality is outstanding and our prices vary depending on each project and customer needs.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We like to get the details of the job, get measurements, design the project, agree on all the details, than execute the project.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
We have over 20 years experience in woodwork and custom cabinetry.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Everything started with rough carpentry back in 2000, than it evolved into porches and decks, than custom staircases, remodeling jobs and slowly into custom work as most of my customers needed a lot of customization on their project. My attention to detail combined with an attitude where everything is possible if you really want and put your head to work lead me to custom cabinetry and furniture, custom doors & staircases, stuff that not many people are able to execute, or execute right.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with all kind of customers, we don't discriminate, we serve everybody.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We've done lots of projects. When a kitchen or a curved staircase is completed, it almost always looks like a piece of art. We take pride on everything we build. Bespoke furniture pieces are projects that I love the most, because of the level of intricacy and the fact that they are unique. It always requires extreme attention to details and I get to use tools that otherwise are not used in day to day operations.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I learned one thing during my career specialy buying tools. On the beginning like everyone I was buying the entry level, most affordable tools, to end up buying other tools more expensive, but still not professional, industrial level. None of these tools ever gave me the accuracy level I was looking for and usually broke in the middle of a project delaying everything. Now I buy only buy the best tool for the job, no matter how much it costs. Now I buy my last tool first. I would advice my customers the same thing. Do not hire the cheaper option, usually that's the option that comes with trouble. I can't do every job that's out there, but I know there are other craftsman out there on the same level with me, or even better on some areas. Hire me, or someone similar like me. We always start a project, we deliver and we finish the job right the very first time. Yes quality work comes at a price, but only a handful of people in this business can deliver. If you hire me the first time we spoke, I'll give you a fair price, if you hire me to come fix someone else's mistake, I'll charge a premium price, more than you would of paid the very first time.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Before contacting us a customer should have a clear vision of what they want done. Any question is welcome, we will answer any questions job related, we understand not everyone knows al the details involved in executing a kitchen, a staircase or a pice of furniture. Also we give suggestions on what materials are best for the job and best price options. We are in this business to help each other. The customers need something done, we need to make a living. We meet in the middle and we exchange experience with customers satisfaction.
