What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
With over 30 years of experience in civil engineering, I have honed my skills in both the USA and the European Union, working on a wide range of infrastructure, residential, and commercial projects. Holding a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, I bring expert knowledge of engineering principles, building codes, and regulatory standards from both regions. I specialize in managing large-scale, complex projects, delivering them on time, within budget, and with the highest quality standards. Throughout my career, I have developed a customer-centric approach, ensuring that each project is tailored to meet the specific needs and vision of my clients. Committed to innovation and sustainability, I leverage the latest technologies to provide efficient, cost-effective solutions for every project
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My journey into the construction and civil engineering industry started with a passion for problem-solving and a keen interest in how structures and infrastructure come to life. After completing my Master's degree in Civil Engineering, I knew I wanted to be involved in creating the physical framework that shapes the world we live in.
Initially, I began my career with hands-on experience, working on smaller-scale projects where I could learn the fundamentals of design, site management, and project execution. It was in these early years that I gained an appreciation for the intricacies of construction work—the precision needed in every phase, from planning to completion.
After a few years of learning the ropes in Europe, I moved to the USA to broaden my perspective and gain exposure to the different regulatory environments and construction practices there. This was a pivotal time in my career, as I worked on large infrastructure projects that challenged me to apply my knowledge and expertise on a much larger scale.
Over the years, I expanded my knowledge of different construction technologies, project management methodologies, and the evolving landscape of sustainable building practices. What started as a curiosity about how buildings are designed and built grew into a full-fledged career focused on delivering successful projects that balance quality, efficiency, and innovation.
With 30 years of experience in both the U.S. and the European Union, I have been fortunate enough to work on a variety of high-profile projects, from residential homes to large commercial buildings and complex infrastructure. My experiences in different regions have given me a unique perspective, enabling me to manage teams, navigate diverse construction codes, and ensure that projects are executed to the highest standards.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One of the most rewarding projects I’ve had the pleasure of working on recently was the construction of a custom single-family home for a young family. The project involved building from the ground up, which allowed us to integrate the clients’ vision with the latest engineering practices and ensure that the home met their specific needs and lifestyle.
Project Scope: The clients wanted a modern home with open-concept living spaces, energy-efficient features, and smart home technologies. We focused on maximizing natural light, incorporating sustainable building materials, and ensuring structural integrity for longevity.
Timeline: The project took approximately 12 months from start to finish. This included everything from the initial design phase, site preparation, foundation work, framing, electrical and plumbing installations, to final finishes like landscaping and interior design.
Key Challenges and Solutions: One of the challenges we faced was coordinating between different contractors and ensuring that the project stayed on schedule, especially when dealing with unforeseen delays related to material supply and weather. However, through careful planning, open communication, and regular progress meetings with the client, we were able to stay on track.
Additionally, we implemented sustainable building practices, using energy-efficient materials such as high-quality insulation, energy-saving windows, and a smart HVAC system that reduced energy consumption. This was particularly important to the clients, who wanted to minimize their environmental impact while still creating a comfortable and functional living space.
Outcome: The end result was a beautiful, energy-efficient, and modern home that exceeded the client’s expectations. They were thrilled with how the house turned out, especially with the layout and eco-friendly features that aligned with their values.
What I’m Most Proud Of: What stands out most for me about this project is the ability to bring together engineering precision, sustainability, and design aesthetics to create a space that not only serves the client’s needs but also contributes to a healthier environment. Watching the clients move into their dream home and knowing I played a part in that is incredibly satisfying.
