What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We offer a complimentary initial consultation. Our hourly rate is $175, which covers a range of design services, including: - Floor Plans - Furniture Space Planning - Kitchen Design Plans and Elevations - 3D Renderings of the Space - Lighting Plans - Color Schemes (Paint) - Material Schemes and Presentations (fabrics, furnishings, wallpaper, lighting fixtures, and home accessories) If you choose to have us manage the project, including purchasing furnishings, materials, lighting fixtures, deliveries, and installations, the project management fee is 25%.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We usually provide our clients with a questionnaire to complete. This helps ensure that both the designer and the client are aligned as the project progresses.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I hold a BSA degree in Interior Design and bring over 30 years of experience in residential projects. Hiring an experienced and knowledgeable designer is crucial for your home to prevent any mistakes or mishaps.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I pursued a degree in interior design and construction, and after graduating, I had the opportunity to work with prestigious design firms in New York City and Connecticut. In 1998, I launched my own interior design firm, taking on projects both locally and around the globe.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Many of our customers are knowledgeable and have a clear understanding of their preferences. They also have a good idea of the budget they wish to work within.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We feel lucky to have had such great success with all our projects, and we take pride in the work we do. Our clients always express their excitement and gratitude when we wrap up each project.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When hiring an interior designer, I recommend ensuring that they have a solid education and several years of experience in the field. I've noticed that some decorators try to present themselves as designers, but there's a significant difference between the two. While decorators may lack formal training, a qualified interior designer is well-versed in construction drawings, scale, functionality, measurements, sketching, and floor planning, among other essential skills.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

It's crucial to verify that your designer possesses the necessary education, credentials, and experience before making a hiring decision. Additionally, seeking referrals and ensuring you feel comfortable collaborating with the designer is equally important.
