How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
In 2008, I began my construction career where I had the opportunity to work on various residential projects. It was an incredible learning experience, as I gained valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in the field. The satisfaction of building something from the ground up and seeing the end result was truly fulfilling. I then decided to shift commercial construction. This presented me with an opportunity to work for two of the largest general contractors in the region. Working on commercial projects exposed me to a whole new level of complexity and scale, which further fueled my enthusiasm for the industry. I realized that construction was not just about physical structures. It was about building relationships with every customer. My passion for construction continues to grow with each passing day. I am grateful for the experiences and the relationships I have been able to build with my customers.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We have had the opportunity to work with a variety of customers of which many have become repeat customers which is the true testament of our continued success.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We recently renovated a historic property in Strasburg, CO which was built in the late 1940’s early 1950’s. We were presented with the challenge of upgrading and updating this property while preserving its unique charm and characteristics which make this property one of kind. This project took 5-6 months due the extensive amount of work, complexity, and amazing finishes selected by the owner.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
There are many great contractors in the area but unfortunately there are those who tarnish our industry. The best advice I can give is to protect yourself. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and request, proof of insurance and references. Also review contract, estimates and any document provided to you prior to signing anything. Trust your instinct and protect your investment.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Before talking to construction professionals about your project, customers should consider the following questions: 1. What is the specific goal or objective of the project? 2. What is the desired timeline for the project? 3. What is the budget for the project? 4. Are there any specific requirements or preferences for materials, finishes, or design aesthetics? 5. Are there any legal or regulatory considerations that need to be taken into account? 6. Are there any existing structures or utilities that may impact the project? 7. Are there any specific concerns or challenges that need to be addressed? 8. What level of involvement or decision-making authority does the customer want to have in the project? 9. Are there any specific expectations regarding communication and updates throughout the project? 10. Will your project require an architect or engineer? Considering these questions beforehand can help customers provide clear information and expectations to construction professionals, enabling a more productive and efficient discussion about their project.
