What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure you hire a licensed contractor that has both liability and worker's comp' Insurance. Do not pay for in home estimate, estimates should be free. Take quality in consideration just as much as budget. Don't go cheapest, don't go most expensive either.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

try to think of all espects and stages of the job its important to cover it all with your contractor. Before you hire anyone, talk about unexpected items that may rise through remodeling, you dont want to have that conversation when it happens.
