What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Our company would make an appointment and look at the project. Talk to the customer and see what they want. Once we have an understanding of the customers' wants and desires- we generate a proposal and email it to the customer. Once the customer agrees with our proposal, we type up a contract and sign it with a customer. Then will set up a date and time to start on project.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I've been a project manager for a construction company. Our company used to build subdivision homes and apartment complex. At one point, our company decided to do to public work. Our company's project included; Police Station in Pleasant Hill, San Quentin, prison. and number of schools in the Bay Area. In 2010, our company moved to Texas. I decided to open my own construction company called Home Improvement Services.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

In my teenage years, I worked for general contractor renovating homes.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with all sorts of customers from simple tasks to complicated jobs.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Recently did a kitchen remodel that I enjoyed working on. It took us about 4 weeks to remodel the entire kitchen.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

My suggestion to a customer would be to look for; a punctual, honest, and transparent contractor.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

I would suggest the following questions; Do we know what our budget is for this project? Do we have a good idea of what exactly we want this project to turn out to be? Are we prepared for the construction aspect of this project, including noise and dust. Are we aware that this project will take some time to complete?
