Introduction

My father taught me long ago to always do the job as if it were your own home and to leave the place cleaner than it was when you got there. I've always tried to put those into practice and have never regretted it. I've stayed busy for over 20 years by being honest, fair, dependable, and trustworthy. My work is impeccable. You'll never have to come behind me cleaning up messes or fixing things that shouldn't need fixing. I would consider it a privilege to serve you.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I’m pretty flexible and very reasonable. It’s not written in stone until it’s written in stone.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Been doing this for well over 30 years. My father taught me from the ground up.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Started working with my father at the age of 15. I’ve had a number of other jobs throughout my life but just keep coming back to this.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Governors, millionaires, and regular folks like me, most have been very kind. Commercial and residential. There are not too many types of people I haven’t dealt with. I've done jobs that were in great disrepair as well as jobs that needed no prepping at all. I've done entire 7-bedroom interiors and jobs which only entailed one room. Not too many types of jobs I haven't experienced.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Have a good BS detector. There are so many guys out there claiming to be painters who don’t know how to paint professionally at all. Do your homework and don’t just hire the first guy or gal that tells you they can paint. You don't just automatically need two coats on everything. If the painter gets a discount on the paint then he/she should be passing that on to you. I earn my money based on the actual work I do, not upselling unnecessarily or profiting off of discounts. Also, please use Behr brand paint by Home Depot. The other guy (you know who I mean) is $20-30 more per gallon and you will, unless it's the same or very close to the same color, be putting two coats on. This translates into more paint as well as more time for labor. Behr is excellent and with a few exceptions will cover in one coat, particularly the Marquee and Dynasty brand.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

I guess I just gave you several in the question above.
