Introduction

Our goal is to maintain the reputation we have worked hard to earn over the last 30 years as a premier painting/drywall and construction contractor, and that means putting the quality of our finishes and the service to our customers ahead of everything else. A great finished product always starts at the preliminary stages, so detailed planning and preparation is everything. Whether that involves checking for bowed studs prior to installing drywall or reading through product data pages to allow for sufficient drying time between coats, these steps need to and will be taken to ensure a quality finished product. By taking the necessary initial steps and following proper procedure, the customer will always have the best finished product.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We try and stay budget friendly when working with our customers. We are extremely transparent with cost and do an excellent job edjucating our customers every step of the way. You are always well informed during the process. From the commencement of the estimate to the final walk-through our process makes it an easy decision to work with us.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
The process commences with a friendly phone call together to explain what you are looking to get accomplished. Then we schedule a time we can meet at your location so you can walk us through your project and explain what it is you would like accomplished. Then, we will share with you any recommendations that we came across (if any) that we feel will help you come up with the best final product possible. Afterwards, we part company with a business card so you can call us at any point moving forward. Second, we create an estimate for you (typically on the spot) and email you exactly what we spoke about. If you are pleased with our proposal, we schedule your project the day you sign with us! You are then given a timeline that you can expect to have your project started and completed. Finally, you are assigned a project manager who will be available to you at any point before, during and after your project is signed from the hours of 8am to 7pm Monday - Saturday. Please note: our company policy is that once your project is started, we make it a point to stay until it is completed, and you are completely satisfied.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am a third-generation painting/drywall contractor with 1000's of completed projects ranging from new construction, wall and trim painting, residential exterior painting and commercial contract work for developers, city municipalities, private practitioners and management companies of all sorts. We hold a Dwelling Contractors Qualifier License through the Department of Safety and Professional Services here in Wisconsin and were Lead Abatement Contractors as well. The safety of our customers and staff is a high priority for us. Holding the proper credentials is vital in our industry. It assures us and our customers that all laws, rules and regulations that govern our industry are followed correctly and completed to the quality of industry standards.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I got started in this industry when I was young and had to help my father with his company that he started back in 1992. Because I learned the business at such a young age it became easy for me become good at it and more so because of the many years servicing our communities, it has made me privy to many preventative aspects of the industry that many other contractors might not be aware of.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
The heart of our process focuses on residential customers. However, over the years a large make-up of our business has included commercial projects of all kinds from Hospital renovation work to Kessler's Diamond's, Cousin Sub's build-outs to multi-unit painting and repairs for private investors and property management companies. We get sub-contracted by many home builders in our area including but not limited to, Hillcrest Builders, Belinski Home Builders, Homes By Towne, Werner Homes, Etc..

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I am most fond of helping our customers reach their goal with the project they are looking to have completed. My focus is a customer relationship and leaving them knowing they called the right contractor. If I had to say what our most recent projects have been it would be 5000 sqft Kessler's Diamond Center, a 1650 sqft basement build-out and the many residential exterior paints the summer has us busy on.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Get some references. Meet an individual you are going to want to work with and ask as many questions as possible about the project. More so, you should expect your contractor to provide you with more questions you should be aware of. We have been doing this longer than you and should be able to point things out for you to help you become well-versed about your project and what you all need done. Additionally, you should expect your contractor to be available to answer any questions or concerns that you have along the way during his operating business hours.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
How long has this company been in business? Who is the owner of the company? Has the owner been in the industry a long time? What does a typical project like this consist of (i.e. material choice, timeline process, payment terms)? Is there a follow-up system/process in place with the customer after completion of the project? Is there a warranty?. Will the individuals working on my home be in-house workers or are you out-sourcing my project to a different company? Do the people working on my home have good enough experience to be working on my home? There are many things to consider asking your contractor. We do an excellent job educating you along the way to a better completed project and a happier contractor experience.
