Introduction

We Specialize in Handyman Services, Home Improvement, Home Repairs, Home and Bathroom Remodeling, Restorations, and from the Ground-Up Construction. I am a fifth-generation carpenter. I was a carpenter in the family business, building custom and track homes and remodeling before joining the U.S. Army. After spending time in the military (1979–1982), I did commercial drywall. I went on to become a residential drywall contractor. Later, I returned to working for my family and other national home builders, framing homes and performing trim carpentry. In between building homes, we remodeled homes. I also did layout, framing, and finish carpentry for many multimillion-dollar homes, some of which were winners of the Parade of Homes. I added handyman services to my job description during the big housing crash. I continue to provide handyman services, remodeling, and many other home services and professional trades that I have learned and perfected. I am a multi-trade craftsman who pays close attention to detail and loves providing high-quality work in a timely manner. Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Job costs vary by job requirements. Death-defying, very hard, or dangerous work costs a little bit more. While easy work can cost less. Some jobs may incur a small service charge for off-site work associated with your project. There are no markups on supplies or materials. For supplies, you only pay for the actual cost of supplies needed and used. I often do Time and Materials agreements (CostPlus). Depending on your location, there may be a travel fee one way only. If your project is by the hour, I charge for the time that it takes to pick up and deliver supplies for your project. I provide military discounts, senior and disabled discounts. For more information, visit my website.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Due to the high volume of phone calls and marketing spam, I prefer that customers requesting assistance fill out the Contact US form on our website or leave a message with my secretary. I will contact you as soon as possible if I can assist you. Sometimes, we get booked up and are only available after a period of time. Once a customer is in my phone contacts, they can contact me anytime. From there, we can schedule a time for a simple estimate or begin a job. Often, I can start the job immediately, but sometimes, we may need to plan the date to begin.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
As a skilled and experienced professional in the construction industry, I have completed an extensive OSHA training course and obtained certification in lull and man-lift operations. With years of experience dating back to my teenage years, I have honed my abilities as a sub-contractor, consistently delivering high-quality work at a rapid pace. As a general contractor, remodeler, and handyman, I continue to uphold this standard of excellence, completing projects quickly and to the highest level of quality. My extensive knowledge of home repairs and improvements allows me to tackle a wide range of projects with confidence and proficiency. As a young subcontractor doing piece work, I always had to provide extremely high-quality work at an exceptionally fast pace. As a General Contractor, Remodeler, and Handyman, I still work at a very quick pace, provide outstanding quality, and have vast knowledge of Home Repairs and Home Improvements.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My family has been in Carpentry, Home Building, and Remodeling for the past five generations.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I typically get amazing and outstanding customers that are doing very well. I'm always happy for them and inspired by their success. They are always nice, and very appreciative of my services. Some customers may not be so rich but, they have always been very happy with their completed projects. Just a lot of good people out there. It is a pleasure to help them.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I have done so many jobs that I am fond of. Some don't take very long. Some can take a few days, weeks, or longer. It just depends on the project.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Hire me because of my attention to detail, the high quality of my work, my knowledge, and my ability to get things done quickly. I am a professional handyman, remodeler, and custom home builder. I've seen plenty of newcomers with little experience in this industry charging what I charge or more. Their lack of experience could be problematic, leading to quality issues and damage to your property.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
When would you like to have the job begin? What is your budget? Do you have any specific designs or materials they would like to use?
