Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Normally we'll charge by the square foot, the prep work that needs to be done prior to painting, if there is any wall work that needs to be addressed, water damage, smoke damage and drywall work etc.. So pricing is subjective and is on a case by case basis to give an accurate estimate and fair price for both the customer and our company. We try our best to stay within your budget and if we foresee any upcharges outside the scope of work we've agreed upon, we will discuss with the customer before we move forward and blindly charge the homeowner or property manager.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
First, we have a conversation with the customer and set up a physical walk thru to draw up a scope of work to give the customer an accurate estimate. Second, we set up a timeline for availability and a deadline. Third, we'll give the customer daily updates and pictures of the progress. Once we're finished, we'll physically walk the project with the customer to ensure the home owner or property manager is more than satisfied with the finished product.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I believe in order to master any craft you have to put in your 10 thousand hours. In my case I've put in way more than that, working long days and nights putting in work. Every employee that works for my company, I'd hate to say but is true are probably more skilled than I am or just as. So properly vetting my team is the most vital part of our companies growth. We have the best of the best at what we do and take pride in it! It's never my way or the highway, but putting our minds together to figure out the right and the best way is the only way.. And that approach never let us down yet..

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I took a job painting for a company back in the day and fell in love with making something that looked horrible and hopeless, to making it a tenants dream home.. The satisfaction is unexplainable! Especially when it's a young couples first apartment or home that they are about to move in.. I take pride in that whole process. The excitement people have in moving in to their first home knowing I had something to do with having them in awe of how it looks makes me very happy. And so that is how it all started for me and after that it took a life of its own!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We've worked with all types of customers ranging from Residential home owners, Commercial Stores, and Apartment complexes. Government buildings, gas stations, libraries, Food lions, Krogers, Walmarts, you name it!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
A recent project we've done was getting a day's notice from an apartment complex to have 20 plus units done in 2 weeks time. They had them rented out to a bunch of college students who were looking for places to live while pursuing an education. We got those units done in 1 week! We gave a peace of mind to the property staff knowing all the students will be occupying the units on time! And we got them done without any drop off in quality! We get a lot of satisfaction in the gratification of our customers!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
The advice I would give to customers looking for a good provider is to ask for references and give them a call. Don't take anyone's word for it because it'll cost you in the long run. You may meet some companies who are kind with great personalities but at the end of the day that can't be all that vendor has to offer. I've heard of horror stories from homeowners that gave me a call to fix other vendors work because they gave unqualified vendors a chance because, 1. they were the cheapest, 2. they were smooth talkers, and 3. they didn't vet them out properly..

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Customers should definitely talk to the contractor about what they want done and be sure about what colors they really want.. I would have the contractor paint part of the wall to see what it looks like before painting the whole room and having a change of heart about the color they chose cause it doesn't match what they had in mind.. So have conversations with the contractor and have them show you a few samples of what it looks like before making a final decision.. otherwise you won't be happy if it isn't what you envisioned.. That alleviates having to pay extra for redoing the job..
