What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At High Valley Painting, we believe in providing transparent, fair pricing with no hidden fees. Our estimates are based on the scope of work, materials, and labor required to ensure top-quality results. We offer competitive pricing for both interior and exterior projects and always strive to deliver excellent value for the craftsmanship and service we provide.
We also offer seasonal discounts and promotions, so be sure to ask about any available savings. Additionally, we may charge extra for specialty services such as extensive surface repairs or additional work beyond the original scope of the estimate.
For larger projects, we require a deposit before starting, with the remaining balance due upon completion. We also include a detailed contract to outline all pricing terms, so you’ll know exactly what to expect. If you have any questions about the estimate or pricing, we’re always happy to discuss the details to ensure everything is clear.

Staying up to date with new products, surface preparation methods, and professional tools is essential in delivering high-quality, long-lasting finishes. Having the right knowledge, experience, and equipment allows me to provide exceptional craftsmanship on every project.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started in the painting industry as a journeyman painter, working on high-end residential projects where attention to detail was key. Over the years, I developed a passion for craftsmanship and customer service, which led me to start High Valley Painting. I wanted to create a company that not only delivers high-quality results but also provides a smooth and professional experience for homeowners. Today, I focus on helping clients transform their spaces with expert painting solutions, from interiors and exteriors to cabinet refinishing.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with a variety of customers, including homeowners looking to refresh their interiors, as well as those investing in full exterior repaints. In addition to residential clients, I’ve worked with HOAs, maintenance managers, property managers, and landlords who need reliable, high-quality painting services for their properties. Many of my clients value professionalism, clear communication, and attention to detail—whether it's a single-family home, a rental property, or a larger community project. No matter the job, I focus on delivering a smooth, stress-free process with exceptional results.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One recent project that stands out was painting a child's dream treehouse for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. It was an incredible experience to be part of something so meaningful, helping to bring a young child's vision to life with a fresh, vibrant finish. The project took two days to complete, and we made sure every detail was perfect, from the bright, playful colors to the smooth, professional finish. Being able to use our skills to create something special for a child was truly rewarding
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The state of Utah requires any painting contractor performing a job of $3,000 or more to be licensed, insured, and registered with the state. You can verify this information online by visiting the Utah Division of Professional Licensing (DOPL).
Beyond licensing, I recommend choosing a contractor with a strong reputation, quality craftsmanship, and clear communication. Look for reviews, ask for references, and ensure they use high-quality materials. A professional painter should provide a detailed estimate, explain the process, and respect your home throughout the project. Taking the time to vet your contractor will help ensure you get the best results for your investment.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
What areas do you want painted? Interior, exterior, cabinets, or specific rooms?
What colors and finishes do you prefer? Do you need help selecting the right ones?
What is your budget? Understanding your price range helps in choosing the best options for your project.
What is your timeline? Do you have a deadline or a preferred start date?
Are there any repairs needed? Such as drywall patches, caulking, or wood replacement before painting.
What level of durability do you need? Some paints are more washable and scuff-resistant, ideal for high-traffic areas.
Do you need help moving furniture or prepping the space? Some painters include prep work, while others expect it to be done beforehand.
Are you working with HOA or property management guidelines? If so, make sure any color changes comply with their requirements.
