What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our pricing always depends on: 1. Type of job: repainting, new construction, etc 2. Repainting jobs: Holes, patches, cracks 3. Surface type: Some surfaces require special kinds of paint with prices varying. 4. Other factors affecting price: Furniture moving, covering floors, carpet and the ceiling height. ** We offer promotions almost every month. Ask us about your monthly promotion.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We normally make an appointment to meet with you for 30 minutes. The appointment is for us to understand your project needs and answer any questions you may have. We will measure all areas to be painted and offer suggestions. We are unable to offer color consultations but can show you color trends. All bids are send via email to the customer. Once our bid is approved, we will set a project start date with a 30% deposit.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Painter 1 of Greater Salt Lake is family owned. We have over 20 years experience in the painting industry. We have worked in new construction, repainting and remodels, commercial areas, cabinets, with both interior and exterior experience. We pride ourselves in excellent customer service and an exceptional finished product.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I enjoy working with my hands. I love to paint and create beautiful spaces.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We have worked on large projects such as apartment complexes or commercial properties, custom builders, general contractors doing remodeling and directly with home owners.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We found this client two week ago, we are currently finishing their project in a few days. This is a remodel job. We have patched walls, prep for painting, painted walls, ceilings and baseboards. Also, we will be painting doors, door jambs window sills, and fireplace mantel. The home is roughly 2200 sq ft.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I suggest they ask the contractor for licensing and liability insurance. Of course, you should feel comfortable with the provider as well. Don't focus on the lowest bid... that doesn't always mean the best quality work. Ask for photos of previous projects to determine quality.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Am I ready to start this project in the next month? What is my budget? Am I ready to have a construction zone in my house?
