What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I price murals based on the time I will need to paint, 1/2 day, full day, 2 days, etc.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I usually set up a consultation in the mural space. if the client is extra busy, or already knows what they want, I can also do text consultations. We will brainstorm, finalize ideas, and set a date for painting.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a BA in Fine Art, with a minor in Children's Illustration. I am certified in Interior Design, and occasionally teach at art camps and schools.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I painted murals in high school and college, and had a lot of experience by the time I graduated college with a bachelor’s degree in fine art.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Individual homeowners, doctors/hospitals, teachers/schools, small businesses, stores, restaurants, corporations and committees.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I recently painted a silver dining room using vertical lines of contrasting silvers. Really beautiful in person, not quite as good in the photos.1 day.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Choose someone you feel comfortable around, with lots of experience, that understands what you want to achieve visually, who has a knowledge of basic design concepts.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Start by asking yourself what you would want painted if anything was possible, and everything were free.
