our pricing is very transparent. most refinishing projects go from 2000-4000 dollars and are based on counts of doors and drawer faces. Our reface projects are dependent on the style of doors you want and how many are being changed. Our prices have not changed in the face of rising inflation and we continue to offer the same great finishes at a price point that is better than our competitors. We also offer regular promotions and a price match guarantee.

We now offer virtual estimates to help simplify and expedite the decision making process. a few photos and answer a couple questions about your project, and we can have your estimate to you in minutes. We also have a showroom in Knoxville where you can come and see and touch the finishes and learn more about our process. If you're too busy and would prefer a site visit, our designer Chriss would be happy to come and help select the perfect look for your space. When you're ready to schedule, we ask a 10-30% deposit (depending on the work scope) and will send you the dates and times when we will come out. We are proud to have a punctual, professional staff of finishers and carpenters working for us. we have artists on staff with art and design degrees and over 40 years of experience. our finishers are all fully vetted and trained with years of experience working in paint and stain, and our carpenters have a wide skill set and decades of experience. Owner Christopher Hardy studied on full academic scholarship at the university of Tennessee and Université Charles de Gaulle in France prior to starting The Painted Room with artist and mother, Chriss W Hardy. Chriss studied at the Fort laudedale art institute and NYU on scholarship and has exhibited her artwork at galleries around the country.

we started as a mother and son team in 2002. for years we have remained a local, family run business with deep ties to the greater knoxville community.

We are a Blackberry Farm trade partner and do most of their paint and finishing work. We also have done projects for High Hampton, Paula Deen Family restaurants, the Titanic Museum, Dollywood, Butch Jones, Bruce Pearl, Pat Summit, Prestige Cleaners, Tupelo Honey, and countless homeowners across East Tennessee.

we love all our projects. our refinishing projects are 8-10 business days to complete (just 3 site visits typically) and our reface projects are usually about 3.5 weeks from the time we measure your doors and bases, the doors are custom made, and then we install and paint the cabinets in about 3-4 days. With less than a week of that time taking place in your home for minimal disruption and a quick facelift process.
