Introduction

I am an award-winning artist that has been creating custom murals and commission canvas pieces in beautiful homes and commercial businesses since 1999. My flexibility in style and airbrush techniques make my work stand out, but my passion for each and every project is what I am known for. I simply love creative projects. It is my goal to pour my heart into each and every project and surpass your expectations. I am happy to work from your ideas or design plan, or present my vision of your space. I want to PARTNER with you towards an amazing product that will last a lifetime. Every job is unique which means every quote is unique. Expect between $30-$50 per square foot as a budget. It will depend on many factors that we can discuss if this is in your range (detail, travel, size, access, etc). The actual cost will be agreed upon up front, and there will be no surprise fees or charges.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Pricing is based around the location, materials, and estimated time to complete. I don't work on a "hourly rate" system as every project is different and incurs its own costs and challenges. After an initial consultation, seeing some photos of the work space, researching travel fees, and hearing about your expected goals, I can give a much better idea of final cost. Once we agree on a final price, there will be no unexpected price increase that is so common with other creators. I strive to communicate clearly with you throughout the project to make sure we are on the same page and that you understand the process.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I strive to communicate clearly with you through the project to make sure we are on the same page and that you understand the process completely. I will work closely with you to achieve your personal vision if you have one. If you don't, I am confident in my ability to bring a space to life and achieve your goals. This starts with a few conversations so I can learn your taste and desires, and then I will present a few options as a starting point. We will work together from that point to adjust lock down a plan that fits your space. It is a wonderful process that feels new and exciting every time. 20 years of happy customers makes me feel confident we can bring your project to life on-time and on budget.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am a self taught artist who has been surrounded by amazing creative producers for over 20 years. I am constantly learning new techniques, experimenting with materials, and investing in my own personal projects. Through the years I have won the "best muralist" award at 9 parade of homes in Nashville, TN, taught group and one-on-one painting classes, produced for hundreds of commercial and residential customers, and published an acclaimed series of children's books called Moon Bound Girl.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
From an early age, was drawn to it but did not find encouragement (confidence) to pursue those dreams until I was in my 20's. Working creatively at any level is my passion and sharing it to others projects has become my absolute drive. Like all successful creators, first I did it for my family, then for my friends, and then for customers. In the early days I created a lot of custom nurseries (which I still love to do) and then transitioned into larger commercial clients such as hospitals, schools, and hotels. I love it all!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with A list celebrities, artists, hospitals, schools, hotels, and families all around the country.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I painted a "Grisaille" Landscape in a dining room of a beautiful home. it was subtle and almost looked like custom wallpaper. The room was transformed into the feel of a French chateau and I loved it. My latest mural was in Nashville where I painted a surround of Scotland in a formal dining room. It was so fun. I have recently been getting requests to add "local vibe" to AirBnB units which gives me a chance to actually stay in the location that receives the installation to develop the perfect plan.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I would say, find someone whose aesthetic you like. Look at their portfolio, if you like what they've done for other clients, they will deliver. Most of the time mural artists know what will look best in a given space but they should be able to hear your ideas and make them happen the way YOU want it.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Are your walls freshly painted with a base coast and ready to be muraled? Do you have fabrics or samples to use as inspiration? Sometimes existing fabrics, decorations, and light patterns dictates the feel of the room and can be helpful in finding an appropriate palette. Never paint a new mural on old paint. The new paint will likely make the old paint look old. Fresh paint in the whole room is the way to go.
