Introduction

I moved back to Ohio from Florida in May to be close to family. I pride myself on being detailed and doing things the right way for the customer. ****I do best in the nicer homes because those owners are very picky and I thrive with those folks.....I'm a perfectionist and do my painting very "clean." There are a lot of contractors out there trying to blast through jobs as quick as possible and this opens the door for many corners to be cut. I don't operate that way. I treat each job as if I was doing the work on my own home. I have been painting for years. ***I can also help with various handyman services for my painting customers*** I have been away from Thumbtack for a couple years but with moving back to Ohio, I'm pretty much starting new so I need to go this route. In Florida I didn't need to advertise thanks to great referrals. **If you are looking for interior painting done meticulously and concerned who you will be inviting into your home, I am probably your guy. I always provide 8-10 references for my potential customers to call.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I am fair when it comes to pricing. I enjoy working with customers that place value on quality work. My prices are very competitive with the market.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I don't give estimates over the phone unless it's a very small job. I come to the home or office and we discuss what needs done and I give an estimate along with great references to call

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a perfectionist. It's a great characteristic if you are wanting a top notch result. When people tell me they are picky, I get excited because I know right away they will appreciate my work!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have been doing projects on my own for years in Ohio. I decided to move down here to be close to my daughter (my only kid but 21 years old) She's my little buddy. I know painting and I know it's hard to find quality in this line of work down here.

What types of customers have you worked with?

All types. I can work well with just about anybody. If you are looking for the cheapest (best deal) I would say move on to someone else. I am very fair but I feel it's best when both parties feel that way.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I just finished a project for an amazing couple. I did the exterior 1st and they liked my work so much they decided to paint the entire interior. The husband, whom I was told was very picky when I met the wife for an initial walk, told me a few times my painting is "immaculate." This project took 3 weeks. I am actually going hiking with the husband in a couple weeks!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Good luck! In the short time I have been down here, I have learned there are a lot of contractors/painters here in Florida taking advantage of people and/or doing shoddy work.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

There are so many. If you are doing a big project and looking for a high quality paint job, have someone with you good at reading people. So many out there will "tell you what you want to hear."
