What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Free Consultation & Estimate – I’ll assess the space, discuss color choices, and provide a detailed quote.
Preparation – I properly prep all surfaces, including patching holes, sanding, and protecting furniture and flooring.
Painting – Using high-quality materials, I ensure clean lines and an even, professional finish.
Final Walkthrough – Once the job is done, I go over everything with you to ensure you’re 100% satisfied before wrapping up.
Communication is key—I keep you updated throughout the process to make sure everything meets your expectations.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been in the trades my entire adult life, and painting has always been a part of my work. With dozens of completed projects under my belt, I take pride in delivering high-quality finish work. I'm meticulous, detail-oriented, and treat every project as if it were my own home.
By the way, I’ve painted every place I’ve lived in—, fences included. Painting isn’t just a job for me; it’s something I genuinely enjoy and take pride in.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always been pretty handy. But after completing a few painting projects for friends and family, I realized I enjoyed painting more than any other home repair task. I loved the attention to detail. As a homeowner myself, I take much pride in the work done. So, I decided to go all in and make it an official business. Now with Lizardo Painting, I get the opportunity to share my passion and help others beautify their homes.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I’ve worked with a variety of homeowners and landlords who want to refresh their space, whether it’s a single room, an entire home, or a touch-up before moving in or out. I take the time to listen and customize the project to your needs so that you're happy with the results.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently painted a living room and kitchen for a homeowner who wanted a completely new look. They chose a modern, neutral color that brightened up the space. I think it came out fantastic. The project took about two days from prep to final coat, including filling in small imperfections and ensuring a flawless finish. They were very happy with the finished work.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When hiring a painter, look for quality over price—a lower quote might mean rushed work or cheap materials. Always ask about prep work, the type of paint used, and the estimated timeline to ensure you're getting a thorough job.
A good professional will take the time to prep surfaces properly, protect your furniture and floors, and leave your space clean when the job is done. Also, go with your gut. If the painter seems reliable, transparent, and detail oriented, then more than likely you're in good hands!
