I live and work around the Jersey shore because I love the area. I have been a carpenter for over 35yrs. I framed custom homes for 20yrs then to remodeling and now for the past 5yrs I have been a finish carpenter. $100 MINIMUM You can hire me/tools for $50 per hr

I prefer to come out to the job in person before I start any job but will work with the customer to move forward

I Excell in math and I went to college for engineering

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started in the construction field right out of high school installing fences and decks with a friends family business

I mainly work on residential homes for the owners

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I recently installed a hand railing for an older gentleman who needed help going up and down the basement stairs. Improving the quality of someone's life is gratifying

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would look at there references first and make sure they are local Look at past projects Hold back a portion of the payment until the job is completed Make sure you feel comfortable with the company

You need to think about time line - budget demo and removal of construction debris; the grade of material and who is purchasing materials
