We are competitively priced. Be aware of "Deals too good to be true". We are very comfortable with supplying our customers with reviews of other customers. We welcome reviews from new customers.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

My story begins with my father. I was 19 years old, a single mother and getting "regular" jobs were barely paying the bills. My father was a Master Plumber. He picked up side work as a handyman. One day late June of '97 he came to me and asked if I could give him a hand. He had picked up a tile job and he needed one person and he was paying cash. DEAL! Extra cash was definitely needed, so I accepted the job. Tho I had never done tile work, I was young and strong. I immediately fell in love with the way my brain worked. It may sound silly but going from retail/customer service to measuring and precision is exactly what I needed. That job turned into another job and so on. I soaked up every bit of information I could, not only to impress my father but I also needed to explore this new found passion. I decided this is what I would do for my family. I came across an advertisement for a house framing program offered by OCC. I jumped at the chance because it was 95% on the job training with 5% dedicated to book and test work. I will never forget my instructor. He was just one of those guys who wanted you to succeed, and I did. After graduating I opened Done by Deana in 2000 and we have been operating ever since. My father passed away in 2010. Every job I put my hands on he is with me.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I am here to do a specific job. Your race, orientation, religion, gender, age, or any other type of grouping are irrelevant to my company. If you call us, it's because you need help. We will be glad to do so.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I enjoy project management. I had a job for 96 sheets of drywall, in a basement. We installed a gym, a wet bar, a seating area and a full bathroom. There are so many things that go into a project of that size. Hands on 100% throughout the entire job. It felt really good to collect that bonus check.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

References and a Portfolio would be appropriate. Talk to your neighbors. Use a professional in your neighborhood with a good reputation.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Do I need it? How much is it going to cost? How long will the project take? Can I get a list of the names of all the people who will be in my home?
