Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Each job is priced differently depending on the conditions of the area to be prepared and how long will it take. As a rule of thumb, normally a 1 bedroom typically 12 ft. x 12 ft. and walls about 8 ft. tall where ceiling, walls and trims will be painted, no wallpaper to remove, we charge for labor, supplies and materials $490.00. If just walls are to be painted then we will drop it to $290.00 per room typically.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
After presenting the solution to our customers needs, I educate them regarding home improvement projects and how to save money, how to choose the right contractor and how to maintain after the service is done. They will know the difference between many types of applications and the ideal application for certain project.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Extensive courses including EPA, OSHA, PDCA, Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams, QA etc.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I can consider myself as a jack-of-all-trades. When I was still a teenager living with my parents, I always took the initiative to fix things around the house, not because I was told to do so, but because it felt good. It was my favorite hobby, spending time on projects such as painting and carpentry and seen the transformation of a room inspired me to continue and do what I know and love the best.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
A range of customers from all ages, gender and backgrounds.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Most jobs I am fond of. Recently we painted a home in Lexington MA where the customer was all nervous about changing colors, the preparation process and so on. Once we educate them on the whole scope of the project they were confident in the end result which turned to be beyond their expectation.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Ask for insurance and hire a professional with employees and not subcontractors. Employees generally are constantly trained and go through background check, in the other hand, many contractors who work with independent subcontractors will enter your home with workers that even they don't know who they are.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Each customer should be handled a brochure containing the process from beginning to finishing. They should ask for how preparation will be taken care of, what materials will the contractor use, how long will the entire project take and what warranties the contractor is offering.
