Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I pride myself on offering affordable prices. Art should be accessible to everyone, and I am willing to work with any budget. Additionally, as I am newer to the mural space I am willing to work out discounts if the mural is in a high traffic area and/ or for a great recommendation!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
First let's call to get an idea of what you are looking for. Then for a small deposit I will create a mock up so you can get a realistic idea of what your idea will look like in your space. We will work together until the mock up is exactly how you envision. Then with an upfront deposit I will buy material and get to work to bring your vision to life! After a final payment I will provide you with anything you need to keep your mural looking amazing and offer touch ups for life!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I just finished a mural of the Blue Ridge Parkway. This mural was very special to me because it was for my Grandfather and in honor of my Grandmother. My grandparents, who I love dearly and often reference their life/ relationship for how to model my own, rode motorcycles for 30 years together. I renember as a child thinking I was the coolest kid in school when my Grandmother picked me up on her bike. They traveled the whole country on the bikes but being from Virginia a ride that they did often and enjoyed thoroughly was riding bikes on the Virginia and North Carolina Blue Ridge Parkway. The parkway has it’s its own place in my heart as well, being from a small town with not much to do a common high school activity was to ride on the parkway with friends. My grandmother passed last year and my Grandfather decided recently to move into an assisted living apartment. We had the thought of what better way to make a new place feel more like home then capturing a special memory on a 9X14 foot space. What I love abut murals is that they transform the space and you are transported into the art and the memory. Even the bikes are the exact bikes my grandparents rode, making sure I referenced old pictures and my grandpa’s memories to make them perfect. While I thought this mural was going to be about the mountains I ended up spending about 80% of my time painting hundreds of trees. In the my Grandfather and I both loved it and his new home was complete. While we all miss my grandmother dearly, a little piece of her memory lives on the walls.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Artist have different styles and there is not one that is right or wrong. I would love to work with you but please choose an artist that speaks to you!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
While I pride myself on working with budgets of all kinds, think through how much you are willing to pay because this will directly impact how much detail and "wow" factor we can add to your mural. But no matter what your budget we will create something special and beautiful.
