Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We do have standard prices for some small repair items, however, we feel that by taking the time to look at each job and seeing all the possibilities and speaking with customer, you will benefit from a more accurate bid.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Our typical process with meeting new customers, is to schedule a meeting at their home to go over the expectation for the project and make sure we deliver what the customer wants (the outcome). I will then return to the office and prepare their free estimate with incredibly competitive rates.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
The owners and staff have been within the construction business with over 20 years experience. The owners are knowledgeable, detailed oriented and eager to get the job completed with the satisfaction of our customers

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Right out of college I was a accounting/business major. After college, I did multiple duties through out my career and never really had a place that I fit. I took a job with a local contractor with extensive knowledge of the contractors world and have been learning and growing ever since. I took the tools I learned running the construction office and move into actually bidding the projects and meeting face to face with customers within my owner business. This is my place, this is what I do and this is what makes me happy!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We have worked with many types of customer. Some were very detailed and perfectionist, some are easy going, some just want you in and out and the problem resolved. You just have to work at the pace and way of each customer and each project.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One of our most recent projects was a partial burn project. The fire started the the laundry room, but caused a abundance amount of smoke damage throughout. The owner made some changes throughout the house and the outcome was more than I was expecting. We did a great job and the owner added her own touches. Together the house is much more functioning, opened floor plan. Great work from our staff and the homeowner. The work took almost 4 months to complete, but it was almost a complete gut out because of the smoke damage, not to mention she changed the floor plan a good bit.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Read profiles, look for people that have done the type of work they are looking to have done. Most important talk to the provider and take advantage of any free estimates offered. I personally feel that you will get exactly what you are looking for after someone views your project as a whole

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Budgeting (how much they have to spend) Planning (sometimes we are invading your space pretty close) making arrangements for that is important List specific questions that they feel are important and need answered
