Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We are very transparent about our pricing and we take pride in the fact that we provide every client with a down to the penny price that we WILL stand behind. We also break our pricing down for you at the estimate so you can see exactly what you're paying for and you can customize the project to fit your needs and budget.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We understand that every project is unique and we want to hear about what you are looking for with your home. That's why we begin every project with a one-on-one consultation with one of our paint professionals. We'll come to your home, discuss the project, take measurements, write up an estimate right there on the spot, and provide you with a free color consultation. We want to make sure you are comfortable with our team and our pricing so we take the guesswork out of it by meeting in person and being transparent with you.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Collectively, we have over 30 years of experience in the industry however, we strive to learn and grow our knowledge base every single day in order to better serve our clients. What really sets us apart from other home improvement companies is the experience we provide to every single client. From our office team to individuals out in the field, our goal is always the same. We want to make you feel special. It might sound silly but the home improvement industry is not known for it's customer service. We've all heard the horror stories and we dare to do things differently. We are responsive, transparent, authentic, and we genuinely care about you and your needs. We understand that not everyone cares about this but it's something that has been close to our heart and is woven into the very culture we have here at Kind Home Solutions.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Admittedly, none of us grew up dreaming of being in the home improvement industry. For many of us, it has been a family affair and we've learned from watching our family members run their own businesses. Others of us somehow stumbled into the field coming from every kind of background; everything from electrical work to brew masters. We've worked for big home improvement companies and small companies and ultimately, we saw an opportunity to not only do things better but to make a connection with our clients. So often in this industry, you end up as a number just going through the process. We try to learn about every client we serve, really find out what they like or don't like about home improvement or their home in general. We want to make each family we serve feel special and we want to honor the space you call home. It's the age old tradition of treating others the way you'd want to be treated. We take that and try to push beyond to make a special connection with each person that can continue on even after the project is completed. We just want to spread a little kindness. Something we world could always handle more of.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Our clients are the best in the industry. Due to our mission to connect with our clients they have each come to feel like family. And not the family members that you try to avoid. We typically are working on residential projects so these are families, husbands, wives, kids, and pets. We are lucky enough to be invited into their homes and it is a relationship that lasts far beyond the finalization of the project. Our goal is to be a company and a team you can feel good about. Hopefully, you'll look back on your smile and think, what an awesome group of people because we think you are just as awesome!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
You know, there are too many great ones to really knock it down to just one. We mean it when we say we have the best clients in the world. One of our very first projects will always be a memorable one. This couple took a leap of faith with us and we are so grateful as they are now one of our biggest fans and they've supported our growth so much. They also have two of the cutest little pups in the world, Ginger and Sadie. Another client that took a leap of faith and went with us turned out to be connected with a local charity and now we're doing a huge project with them this summer. It definitely feels like fate has brought us together with each client we've served. A client that we will product this spring is absolutely outstanding and the, dare I say, friendship that we've created has lead to hour long phone calls that have NOTHING to do with painting. It always makes our office team's days to have those kind of conversations though.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
We have a complete blog post on the subject so definitely check it out if you're not sure what to ask or what to look for. What we would recommend is find a company you're truly comfortable with. You are asking someone to work on your home, typically a large investment, but also this is your HOME. It's where you rest your head, where your family is, it's important and you need to trust who you're working with. A few other tips: -Meet them before working with them -Ask about a warranty -Make sure they are using products you agree with -Ask about their process -Basically, ask a ton of questions. There are no silly questions so ask away!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Some great questions to ask yourself before you even start looking for a professional are: -What is the scope of my project -What's my timeline -What's my budget -What am I looking for in a company -Who else is involved with the project (spouse, family member, friend, your dog, etc.) -What will you NOT compromise on -What, if anything, are you willing to compromise on
