What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our estimates are based on materials and/or hourly rates. Each contract is different and each situation is unique. Our goal is to complete as much work as we can achieve without going over the customer's budget.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Our business is all about building relationships.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am preparing to be certified to become a home inspector. This is a great addition to our services list and we are excited to be able to help customers with this aspect of the home buying or selling. I attend school during the slow season to keep up on my technical skills.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I remodeled homes for 20 years on my own before entering the business. It was an easy step after I left the high tech industry to pursue this industry on my own.

What types of customers have you worked with?

The most common jobs are painting, trim work, new doors, windows, cabinets, tile, siding restoration and miscellaneous repair. With our added services, we are now able to offer our customers a more complete list of options, such as; A Seller's Pre-Sale Checklist. This is where we tour your home with you to discuss areas needing minimal work, cleanup and even discuss what staging can do to sell your home for top dollar! Property management is another option. Ask us about your situation and we can discuss this further.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Over the course of 4 months, we managed an entire house remodel which was severely water damaged. We re-framed the entire roof added metal roofing, applied custom trim to the house adding all new doors, windows and siding. We installed Purgo floors, custom built cabinets, tile counter-tops, bathrooms, sheet rock and insulation.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The dynamics of personality are very important. Hundreds of decisions have to be made on larger remodeling projects so home owners really need to make sure their contractor is personable will take the time to listen to your ideas.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

You've heard the adage, "It's business, don't take it personally!" We are in the people business and we take everything personally which means we work hard not to make mistakes, but when something does go wrong, we work hard to make it right, even when it costs us money.
