Introduction

I know hiring someone to work in your home can be frustrating and stressful. It can be difficult to find anyone to even show up for those smaller jobs. I love small jobs. Got some nail holes or other damage to repair? I can do that. Just want your trim touched up? No problem. I not the fastest, but I am reliable and I'd love to talk about your walls.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Each job is different. I need to see the area to determine the amount of time and materials needed to offer the most accurate price. Contact me for a free estimate. I offer discounts for senior citizens.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I like to meet with the customer to find out what they want out of the project. I will work to find a solution within their budget. I do have a full-time job and because materials require time to dry, I set up a schedule for completion. I do tend to sing (badly) while I work

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
My father owns several properties in the NWA area. I have primarily always worked with and for family and friends, but I am looking to branch out on my own. I have more than ten years experience in renovation and remodeling.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
It all started 22 years ago when my husband and I purchased our first house. It was a little dated. We decided to renovate. At first we tried to hire handymen, but our jobs were small and nobody wanted to touch them. We just weren't worth their time. Out of frustration and necessity, we learned how to tile, mud, drywall, and paint. Soon, my family started expressing their frustration in trying to get anyone to help with small jobs. it's out of this frustration that I have decided to offer my services. I hope to provide a safe and friendly experience for my customers.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with all kinds of customers. I love helping people who might otherwise be intimidated during the home improvement process. I know it can be scary to have strangers come into your home. I also know, from personal experience, you can often feel like you don't get what you paid for. I will do my best to make sure you are happy with your walls.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I recently helped a lady with limited mobility refresh her walls. It was a smaller job, too big for her, but too small for the big guys. Her appreciation of the help was one of the reasons I decided to post my services. This was a small room requiring wall repairs, primer and paint. Because of drying time, it took me a few hours a day over a 3 day period.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I have had the pleasure and not so much pleasure in hiring all kinds of help. I have hired people with great reviews, only to be very disappointed in their work. My advice is to look for red flags and go with your gut. If they are not responsive before the job, they won't be responsive during the job...or after if you have problems. Get more than one estimate. I hate to say it, but I have had more than one person try to take advantage of me because they thought I hadn't done my research. Don't let them intimidate you. Take all the time you need to make the decision. It's your house, we work for you.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Do some research. Understand the cost of materials. Decide what your budget is and what your expectations are with the project.
