What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Start with an over the phone consultation to learn about their needs and share how I can help. I always like to quote in person and to see if there's any other ways I can help. Once I know the full scope of the project I get a quote ready. Once approved I like to get the work finished when the customer likes it to be completed.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
All of my training has occurred on the job. I'm Currently, working toward earning my Certified Dryer Exhaust Technician (CDET) credential through the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA). Pursuing this certification reflects my commitment to safety and recognition at the top of my field and providing my customers with the highest level of expertise and peace of mind. As a new business owner, I’m dedicated to professional growth and delivering exceptional service every time.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I’ve always been a hands-on problem solver, and one day, while helping a friend with their never-ending laundry issues, I discovered their dryer vent was completely clogged with lint. After spending some time clearing it out and seeing the immediate improvement, I realized how many homes must face the same hidden issue. When I learned about the fire hazards and inefficiencies caused by dirty vents, I knew this was more than a quick fix—it was a real opportunity to make homes safer and improve the life of many dryers. That moment sparked my journey into professional dryer vent cleaning.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
My customers come from all walks of life, but they share a common concern: maintaining a safe and efficient home. I've helped busy friends and families who rely on their dryer every day to keep up with their needs. They’re grateful for my quick, no-fuss service that gives them peace of mind about their household safety. Whether it’s a young family, an independent senior, or a meticulous homeowner, everyone can use a little help. The main thing that binds them together is their personal value for safety, efficiency, and the confidence that comes from working with someone who genuinely cares about their homes dryer ventilation system.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I recently completed a crawlspace vent repair where the dryer ventilation had been disconnected for over six months. During this time, warm, moist air from the dryer was venting directly into the crawlspace, causing significant moisture buildup and contributing to musty odors and potential mold growth. The first step was inspecting the extent of the moisture damage. I found lint accumulation around the disconnected vent, which posed both a fire hazard and an air quality issue. After thoroughly cleaning the area and removing all lint and debris, I reconnected the dryer vent to ensure it was properly sealed and secured to the exterior vent outlet. I also reinforced the ductwork with metal clamps and high-temperature foil tape to prevent future disconnections. To address the lingering moisture, I replaced the damaged crawlspace vents with new ones that promote better airflow while preventing pests from entering. Additionally, I checked for any signs of mold or water damage to the insulation and subfloor, making necessary repairs to prevent long-term structural issues. The project resulted in a safer, better-ventilated crawlspace, with the dryer vent system restored to proper function, reducing moisture risks and improving overall air quality in the home.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

By choosing a new business owner like me and not just a franchise, you’re not just hiring someone to clean your dryer vent—you’re investing in a dedicated professional eager to provide the best possible service and build a lasting reputation in our community. 1. Supporting Local Growth: By hiring a new business owner, you’re contributing directly to the growth of your local economy and supporting someone who is working hard to make a name in the community. Your trust means the world to me, and I take that responsibility seriously by delivering exceptional service every time. 2. Prioritize Customer Service: New business owners, like myself, are deeply focused on building strong relationships with their clients. I know that every job counts and take the time to explain the process, answer questions, and make sure you’re satisfied with the results. With a new provider, you’re not just another customer—you’re a key part of helping us grow and succeed. 3. Fresh Perspective and Drive: As a new business owner, I bring enthusiasm and a hands-on approach to every project. This isn’t just another job to me; it’s my livelihood. I’m motivated to go above and beyond to make sure my work speaks for itself. Choosing a new provider means you’ll often get more personalized and detail-oriented service than you might from a larger, established company. 4. Look for Transparency: Whether it’s my pricing, process, or the tools I use, I believe in being completely transparent. I want you to feel confident and informed every step of the way, and that’s often a hallmark of someone just starting in the industry—we know trust is everything.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
1. When Was the Dryer Vent Last Cleaned? Understanding the maintenance history helps gauge the urgency of the cleaning. If it’s been over a year—or if it’s never been done—it’s likely time for a thorough cleaning. 2. Are There Signs of a Clogged Vent? Common signs include: * Clothes taking longer than usual to dry. * A burning smell during use. * The dryer or laundry room feels unusually hot. * Lint accumulating around the dryer or vent. * These details will help the professional understand the scope of the issue. 3. What Type of Dryer Setup Do You Have? Is it a standalone dryer or part of a stackable unit? How long is the vent, and does it involve any sharp turns or hard-to-reach areas? This helps me determine the tools and time required for the job. 4. Where Is the Vent Outlet Located? Knowing whether the vent outlet is on the first floor, roof, or another hard-to-access location allows the professional to assess whether specialized equipment, such as a ladder, will be needed. 5. Do You Have Any Safety Concerns? If there have been issues like overheating, burning smells, or frequent dryer repairs, these should be shared upfront to ensure the professional can address potential hazards. 6. Are You Looking for Additional Services? Some professionals offer add-ons like air duct cleaning or inspecting the overall ventilation system. Think about whether you’d like these checked while they’re on-site. 7. What Is Your Budget for the Service? Having a budget in mind helps guide conversations about pricing and potential add-ons or discounts. 8. How Often Do You Use Your Dryer? High-use households, such as those with large families, may need more frequent cleanings. Sharing this information helps the professional recommend a maintenance schedule. 9. Are You Interested in Learning About Preventative Maintenance? If you’d like tips to keep your dryer running efficiently between cleanings, mention this so the professional can provide helpful guidance.
