Introduction

Taking pride in doing a quality job for an affordable rate is something I've always believed in. Building a trusting relationship with customers is very important to me. I have 20+ years of experience in the repair, and construction industry. If it needs to be fixed I'm your guy. In addition to being a licensed contractor my business is also insured. Operating hours are 8AM to 5PM on weekdays unless emergency service is scheduled, or additional time is required to complete a project that has been started prior to 5PM. Saturdays are available from 8AM to 2PM by appointment only. Rates are $80 per hour for handyman, or mechanical work. Parts not included in hourly rate. No show up, or trip fee. Since March of 2020 I have been wearing masks inside customers homes. Gloves, booties, and disinfecting surfaces also by request only. Current services offered - Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Indoor Air Quality, System Maintenance, Dryer Vent Cleaning Replacement & Installation, Kitchen Vent Hood Cleaning, Air Duct Cleaning, Water Heaters, Handyman, Drain Cleaning, Power Washing, Refrigerator Repair & Maintenance, Ice Makers, Moisture Testing, and Energy Management.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My pricing is very fair especially on Thumbtack. No show up fee like most companies which is usually around 100$.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Communicating by phone call, text, email, or messaging. First, I try to figure how to be of the best service for each particular person, or persons. Listening completely to needs of the customer and trying to present solutions for the project inquired. If estimates are needed, they will be delivered in timely manner. Then if agreements are made to preform work my goal is show up on time to complete the project in a clean and safe manner.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a 3 year degree in HVAC. A Masters License in HVAC. I'm EPA certified to handle all refrigerants. Carrier/Bryant/Midea Mini Split certified. I've also have taken various other courses.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I've been on construction sites since I was a child. Exposed at a very young age to the likes of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, etc.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Have worked with all sorts of customers from many different backgrounds. Anything from a small apartments all the way up to large commercial buildings.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

There is high cost with low availability of R-22 refrigerant. Which is what many old systems require to run. With these factors in mind, I've had a few customers choosing to repair rather than replace a system with a substantial refrigerant leak. This is done with an environmentally friendly substitute replacement for R-22. Recently replaced a leaking coil for a valued customer of mine in one day's time. The system was also refurbished in the process. Total job cost parts and labor was $2,600 with a one-year warranty on refrigerant, and all new parts that were replaced.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Compare apples to apples is the best to describe this process. Considering items such as cost, quality of work, brand, equipment efficiency, labor warranty, and parts warranty. How long will the project take? Are there any extra fees not being mentioned in the quote or price given? Also does the company seem knowledgeable with a quick response time?

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Are they a licensed contractor for that particular line of work? Do they have the proper insurance? Will they be doing the work themselves, subcontracting, or sending helper that is working under their license? Although safety has gotten better over the years HVAC is still very dangerous and should be taken seriously. HVAC is not DIY it should only be done by trained professionals.
