Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Prices vary based on the scope of your project, however we will discuss all options with you prior to performing any service work. We offer free estimates on all repairs and system installations.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We typically will contact you prior to your scheduled appointment time to gather more information about the nature of your project. We value your time and want to make sure that we are providing our service as conveniently as possible. After a full system inspection, we will review all details of any/all work for your approval. We do not proceed with any repairs or service without your approval. Once service is completed, we accept credit cards, cash, checks, and online payments.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
EPA 608 Universal Certification Penn Foster Certified HVACR Technician

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started years ago working with another company doing "side work" and gaining knowledge about the trade. I found that I enjoyed doing HVAC work more than my full time job. I decided to get additional education and start my own business in the central PA area.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Mostly residential clients and a number of small businesses

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I recently performed a routine service call in Lancaster on a gas furnace - although it was not a repair, there was significant corrosion on the burners. The original installer covered the burner access panel with ductwork 6 years ago and no one even mentioned this to the customer. Many other companies came out and told the gentleman that "everything was fine" and took his money. I showed the customer the problems with the unit and took the time to do the job right.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Request to be shown specifically what work needs to be done and get multiple quotes/opinions if necessary. Work with someone you trust and feel comfortable with. Make sure to inquire about ALL of your options and the necessity of additional services. Ask questions!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Do appropriate research to get an idea of what might be going on. While the internet isn't perfect, it may help to give you an idea of what needs to be done. HVAC problems can be difficult to diagnose and you should always use a reputable, licensed, and insured contractor. DO NOT try to fix problems yourself - I've seen significant damage done by homeowners attempting repairs on their own. This almost always results in substantial costs in the long run. Proper equipment and training is required for most HVAC work.
