What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Garage Doors pricing is based on the job (amount of work involved & materials needed). We send out a technician for an inspection so they can analyze what exactly needs to be done and how much it will cost. Then they will provide a detailed estimate on the job. If your particular job is a repair job, 99% of the time the technicians can do the work on the spot if you wanted to move forward with the estimate right away.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

A customer will inquires about garage door services. We will answer their questions and get them scheduled for an estimate. Upon completion of the estimate if a repair is needed and customer wants to proceed, 99% of the time we can do the repair right then on site. If customers estimate was for a new door they can proceed right away or take some time to think about it. That's the general process when working with Local Garage Doors.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have 3 generations of Garage Doors Careers before me and I have been in this industry my entire life. We also attend Garage Door Conventions to make sure we always have the latest and greatest products.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I had this job paved out for me my entire life. My Grandfather, Father and 2 uncles all own garage door companies, I also have 2 brothers that own garage door companies as well as 1 cousin who owns a garage door company.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We have worked with everyone. We most commonly work with homeowners and tenants to service their homes.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We love helping out all of our customers. New door installations can be as quick as 1 day if the door is in stock and available. If the new garage door is a special order it can take 6-14 weeks for the new garage door to arrive. We do the absolute best we can each and every job, and we are proud of every job that we complete for our customers.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure whatever company you use is license, bonded, and insured. Otherwise, you can be liable if an accident were to occur during the time of the repair or replacement.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

If you're looking to get a new garage door you will want to think about timeline available to get the new garage door installed & the budget amount you have for the new garage door. Garage Door prices vary drastically depending on the material it's constructed with. Also keep in mind doing garage door repairs and installs can be extremely dangerous. You can never be too careful when it comes to a garage door repair.
