I was interested in what makes it possible for us to stay so cozy in our homes. I found a reputable company to begin my apprenticeship with and discovered that I love to do HVAC work.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I was called out to an air conditioner not cooling call. The previous company my client had called out told them they needed to buy a new AC. I was able to properly diagnose the problem, get them cooling again, cleaned the equipment and explained what to expect going forward. It only took me about an hour and a half to do this job, and it left me with a good feeling.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

There are a lot of different HVAC companies where we live, and each one will have different processes. While it can be good to build a relationship with one specific business, it is good to look around and explore your options.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Good questions can vary depending on the project. For example, if the air conditioner in your home has stopped cooling, you may ask yourself, "When was the last time the air filter was changed?" something as easy as that could potentially be the fix that was needed.
