What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Talking with the customer about their property that they want the project completed at. Ask them if they have a brand in mind at this point I may suggest my favorite brands and why I use them.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Mass State Oil Burner License EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification (Held for Over 13 Years) LG Heat Pump Training - Manufacturer Trained Mitsubishi Heat Pump Training - Manufacturer Trained I am a graduate of the US Merchant Marine Academy in 2008 with an ABET accredited Bachelors of Since degree in Shipyard Management & Marine Engineering. While attending the academy classes were taken in Thermodynamics, Electricity, Electronics, and Steam Engineering. All of these classes are essential in HVAC. I have over 15 years of hands on experience with refrigeration systems, air conditioning system, and heating systems within the home sector and maritime industry. My land based experience is over 10 years with repairs, maintenance, and installations of heating and cooling systems.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Out of necessity I became interested in HVAC due to our house having a radiant heat system with a Viessmann boiler. Both system required a lot of maintenance and repair due to the age of the home. My years of seagoing experience directly transferred to home HVAC.

Typically residential, but also small commercial jobs.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Installation of our Mitsubishi Mini Split Ductless system in our current home. The installation took 4 days.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure the contractor can justify why he chose the equipment he is quoting. Also make sure that the equipment being installed is going to be serviceable in the future.
