I've been in the construction business for 25 years now. My company specializes in home renovations, repairs, and maintenance. We do everything from plumbing, electric to buildouts, drywall, and flooring. We take on maintenance projects to showcase our skills to potential new clients who are looking to do bigger projects down the line. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

25 years experience in all aspects of construction including plumbing, electric, HVAC, framing, drywall, finishing, paint, flooring and tile

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started when I was 17 working with a friend's uncle doing commercial framing and hanging drywall. Eventually I moved on to work with maintenance company doing office park repairs and buildouts.

What types of customers have you worked with?

My customers range from residential home owners to investors who purchase properties who are looking to completely remodel to sell for a large profit.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I'm fond of all my flipped properties because it's a showcase of every aspect of what we do. Each property is gutted and completely remodeled from the ground up. All electrical and plumbing is ran brand new. The attention to detail is done to the color screws we use.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Contractors and repairmen in Florida are a dime a dozen. Be careful with the ones who sell you perfection without sharing their knowledge and steps need to be taken to do the job. If the person looking to gain you as a client can't answer questions about every aspect of the job, chances are they're just the salesman and someone you don't know will be doing the job in which you have no idea where their skill set is at.
