What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We will take the time to educate clients on the mold remediation process. This process is put in place by TDLR to protect clients. Once a client has a protocol on the mold removal we will provide a quote to complete the job.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We have completed the years of training and working under other contractors to be able to take training courses for the MRC licenses. We have also passed the TDLR exams that are put in place to hold a license in the great state of Texas. We have done this both in Mold and HVAC. All our workers have completed a required Mold Remediation Workers 4 hour training course. We also have to complete continuing education courses yearly to keep our licenses up to date.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

HVAC and Mold Remediation are considered allied fields. Being a hvac contractor we came across a lot of mold issues inside hvac systems and homes. We are one of few businesses that can actually look inside your hvac system without calling in another contractor, because we hold both a HVAC Contractors license, Mold Remediation Contractors license, and a Mold Remediation Company license.

We work with many different kinds of clients. Homeowners, landlords, and business owners.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We found mold in two hvac systems in a clients home. They only had mold inside the systems, but were breathing in the air that the hvac systems produced. We removed the units cleaned the duct work through out the house, and replaced the two hvac units with new units all in one day.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Do research on companies. There are plenty of companies that are providing mold remediation that are not licensed in this line of work. Anyone can go online to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation and check if they are licensed and following the correct guidelines that are set in place for a reason. It’s all to protect the client from getting scammed.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

How the mold remediation process works. Making sure the company that is working in your home is licensed and insured for this type of work. Believe us most aren’t and there are some on thumbtack and many other lead service sites. Protect yourself and your family, and protect your investment in your home.
