How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I’ve always had a passion for business management and knew I wanted to start my own business—something that would not only help people but also create opportunities for others. When I learned about the cleaning and restoration industry, it felt like the perfect fit. Living in Southwest Florida, I saw firsthand how devastating hurricanes, flooding, and mold issues could be for homeowners and businesses. I wanted to build a company that people could rely on during stressful times, knowing they would be treated with care and professionalism. I also wanted to create a positive company culture where hard-working, honest people could thrive. It was important to me to provide opportunities for employees who share those values and to build a team that truly cares about doing the job right. Taking care of our customers properly—whether it’s an emergency water mitigation or a routine carpet cleaning—is at the heart of what we do. That’s why I started Voda Cleaning & Restoration of Southwest Florida, and I’m proud of the team and the reputation we’ve built in the community.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We work with commercial and residential customers.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One recent project I’m especially proud of is the work we did after the back-to-back hurricanes, Helene and Milton. So many families in Southwest Florida were displaced from their homes, and the damage was overwhelming. We responded quickly to help homeowners with emergency water mitigation and mold remediation. In many cases, we were able to complete the remediation within a week, which helped families get back on track faster. What makes me proud is that our work didn’t stop there. We’re still working with many of those homeowners as they continue to restore their homes back to normal. It’s rewarding to know that we were able to provide immediate relief during such a stressful time, and we remain committed to supporting our community as they rebuild.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
When hiring a cleaning or restoration provider, here’s my advice: 1. Check their reviews and reputation. – Look for companies with consistently high ratings and positive customer feedback. 2. Confirm they are licensed and insured. – This protects you and ensures the provider follows industry standards. 3. Ask about their experience with similar projects. – Experience matters, especially when dealing with water, mold, or fire damage. 4. Get a clear estimate. – Make sure the provider explains the scope of work and any potential additional costs upfront. 5. Look for fast response times. – For restoration work, quick action can prevent further damage. 6. Make sure they stand behind their work. – A trustworthy company will be upfront about their guarantees and customer support. Taking the time to ask these questions can help you find a reliable provider who will do the job right the first time.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Before talking to a professional about your cleaning or restoration project, consider these key questions: 1. What type of service do you need? – Are you dealing with water damage, mold, fire damage, or general cleaning like carpet, tile, or air ducts? 2. What’s the extent of the damage or cleaning needed? – Knowing the size of the affected area and any visible issues will help us provide a more accurate assessment. 3. How urgent is the project? – If it’s an emergency, such as water or mold damage, it’s important to act quickly to prevent further issues. 4. Do you have any specific concerns or sensitivities? – For example, if you have pets, allergies, or prefer eco-friendly products, let us know so we can adjust our approach. 5. What’s your budget and timeline? – Understanding your budget and when you’d like the work completed will help us provide the best solution. 6. Have you contacted your insurance provider (if applicable)? – For restoration work, it’s helpful to know what’s covered and if your insurer requires specific documentation. 7. Are there any access or logistical challenges? – Let us know if there are tight spaces, restricted access, or specific building rules we need to follow. 8. Have you checked the company’s reviews and ratings? – A company’s reputation and customer feedback can give you valuable insight into the quality of their work and customer service. Thinking through these questions will help us better understand your project and deliver the best possible outcome!
