Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I’m always willing to beat my competitors prices. I know that return customers are what keep the lights on 😊

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Discounts! I love meeting new people. There is nothing better than having your number given to someone else from an existing client.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have my Bachelors of Technology. Doesn’t relate to my skills as a Handyman 👨‍🔧

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have owned several houses and even maintain my own rental home to this day on top of that. This forces you to get knowledgeable quick on home repairs. Fortunately, I have always had a nack for working with my hands. In my free time I learn about how things work and I believe that I can offer that knowledge to my community.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I put down a whole bathroom floor in only 4 hours. I’m really proud of that.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I have had several clients genuinely surprised when I show up on time and check my messages constantly. I always feel bad that other pros let them down. My advice is that it may take a few tries to really find someone good that cares about your business. You should be able to tell pretty quickly who the people are that will come repair a broken water heater at 2:00AM during a rainstorm. Ask me how I know 😮‍💨

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
I think the question is what exactly a handyman is. It’s not uncommon for people to reach out and ask for their HVAC system be serviced. There are certain things that require a state license, HVAC being one of them. Handyman are certainly useful and can do most things but deep rooted issues should be handled through plumber/electrician/carpenter/Heating and Air Techs.
