Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Our pricing is tailored to each specific job. While certain aspects, like labor rates, remain consistent, material costs can vary on a daily basis. To ensure accuracy, we provide an onsite estimate, giving you a detailed breakdown of the work to be done and the associated costs. This approach allows us to offer you a fair and transparent price based on the current market conditions.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
1. Schedule an Estimate: We’ll arrange a time to come onsite, assess your job, and discuss your specific needs. 2. Detailed Quote: Based on the assessment, we’ll provide a detailed quote tailored to your requirements within 24-36 hours. 3. Approval & Scheduling: Once you approve the quote, we’ll schedule the job at the earliest available opening. 4. Job Completion: Our team completes the job to your full satisfaction, ensuring everything meets your expectations. 5. Your 5-Star Review: After delivering excellent results, we hope to earn your 5-star review!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Like many in the skilled trades, we’ve honed our craft through a combination of on-the-job training, educational resources like YouTube, apprenticeships, and learning from our own experiences. Our skills have been developed out of both necessity and a genuine desire to serve our clients with the best possible solutions.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Right out of high school, I began working as a draftsman for an architect, which soon led to managing the very projects I had drawn. Onsite, I learned from the contractors and further expanded my skills through family and friends who taught me many valuable lessons. I’ve always enjoyed working with my hands, but what I truly love is the satisfaction of completing something meaningful for someone else.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Some commercial but mostly residential. I have worked with single family and multi-family homes of all styles and incomes.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Before starting this franchise, I took on a full remodel of a duplex. We stripped it down to the studs and replaced everything. With just myself and a part-time helper, the project took 4 months, though with a larger crew, it could have been completed in 3. Seeing the transformation from a rundown structure to something that looked almost out of place was incredibly rewarding.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Clear Communication is Key Be specific about what you want. Contractors can't guess your exact vision based on general discussions—it’s crucial that your expectations are clear from the start. Otherwise, the final result may not align with what you envisioned. Reality vs. Expectation It's important to stay open to the realities of the current market. Things have changed significantly, even compared to a year ago. Material costs fluctuate daily, labor is expensive, and equipment costs continue to rise. Inflation affects everyone, not just you as the client. Understanding Our Process We’re here to make a living, not to take advantage of anyone. Every job we bid on is carefully thought out, considering every item, hour, mile, and potential unknown. We don’t pad our quotes with extra hours or unnecessary costs—we aim for accuracy and transparency, ensuring that your quote reflects the true scope of the project.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Are your employees background checked and drug screened? What do you do to help me feel safe in my own home while you are here working? How will I know that it is your company that is here to do the work? How do I verify completion of the work done? Does the homeowner provide the materials? Why/Whynot? Why can't you use this old paint that I have in my shed?
