Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We try to be very open and transparent with our billing process. We run off of our hourly labor rates almost entirely and avoid extreme upcharges to make it appear that we're cheaper than we are.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Aside from the usual of finding out the issue and working to diagnose I want to know what permissions I have on your property to access your units.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have years of experience in both residential and commercial HVAC as well as electrical. I also attended OSU-IT for both HVAC and Electrical Construction.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I've always been responsible for fixing what was broken growing up but I first got into HVAC after highschool while working for a plumbing company.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with all types of clients. I do everything from residential, to commercial to small industrial.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I recently was able to do a job for my dad. The temperature was over 100 and he called me telling me that their unit wasn't keeping the house cool. After discovering that the the compressor was reading open on all leads I was able to get his unit running and fixed what caused it within 20 minutes all while also being able to work with him.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Look for smaller companies and avoid those that are running a lot of ads. Thousands of dollars on billboards is either paid for by the customers or by low paid employees.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What recent work has been done on the house or near the unit, what was the unit doing before it stopped working and what previous issues has the unit had.
