What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We are competitive with our pricing, but always compare apples to apples. We sell American Standard which is a top of the line brand that has stood the test of time. They also have builders models that are less expensive but still durable.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Step one is always to determine what they want or need. If they are unsure, we take the time to discuss the options and determine what is best for the customer.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a licensed mechanical contractor. Many companies are licensed by other licensees but I am personally the license holder for Cool Aid.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I actually stared in high school working for my dad. Then in 2008 I got my contractors license and started working for the company. I just recently bought it as my dad was retiring.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

There was a customer who had an air handler in the garage that was completely brittle and the air handler was almost falling through. We installed a new metal stand and redid all the ductwork as per the customers request. It turned out being superb and the customer was super excited.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Always compare apples to apples. Also, installing a system is just the beginning of the customer relationship for us. We are not just trying to install systems and run. We are looking for long story care and will continue to take care of your AC needs in the future.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

How long will you be living in the house? How expensive is your electric bill?
