What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

10% discount on total repairs for Seniors & Military. $125 service call for standard domestic brands. $150 service call for high end brands. We use the Blue Book Pricing Guide for all repairs. Service call is waived if you go with total repair.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Get to know their name. Listen to the description of what’s wrong with the appliance. Test and diagnose the problem. Discuss the repair with the customer. Get approval before doing repairs. Fix it! Show the customer it works! Thank you for your business. Hopefully there’s not any other problems anytime soon, but we’re here to help. Please give us a call again.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

At Appliance Worx we focus on excellent and friendly service. Our technicians are required to complete at minimum 40 hours of ongoing training each year. We are here to help when your appliances just need a little TLC and when they need serious work to get them running again. Please give us a call!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I’ve always liked figuring out how things work and fixing them when they don’t. So I went to specialized training for this industry.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

There was a built in refrigerator that was not cooling. The control had failed and was discontinued. No longer available. This is a $10k refrigerator so what next. I researched some common failures and I was able to repair the control by soldering in a couple new relays. The refrigerator was up and running in about an hour. Woohoo!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Hire a service provider in uniform. If they care enough to look professional, most likely they will be professional.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What’s the brand and model? What’s wrong with it? How old is it?
