How did you get started doing this type of work?

Started in Portland working for my best friends dad where I began to get valuable experience in the industry.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

A recent project I completed was a roof tear off and install. I was asked to come take a look at a leak. There was water coming into the customer's room and her guest room. After looking where the water was coming into her place I went out onto the roof. I started in the valleys and found nails that had backed their way out through the upper layer, causing a leak. Looking closer I found this problem throughout the roof. She had a two layer roof system. The roof was only 5 years old, but due to the craftsmanship of the installer, the roof was replaced. I gave her a 10 year warranty on my install.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Enjoy the process as you get information about your project. Find joy in creating/restoring something new.
