Introduction

My goal is to complete a project exceeding expectations and a high quality of work at a price that everyone can afford. We have trained employees that must pass quality tests before sending them on their own to a job site, we take photos of before, during and after of all of our projects to share with our clients so that they can be certain that no corners were cut and that all the work was performed to highest standards possible.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Our pricing is very competitive. However, our quality of work and the system we are selling you, is beyond our competitors. We are certified rood installers with GAF, Certainteed, Owens Corning and IKO, and are able to offer extended warranties with all of our roofing systems for peace of mind.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We prefer that you are present at the time of the estimate so that we can educate you about roofs and present to you the different great roofing systems you can choose. Moreover, we will answer all the questions you may have about our products, or us as a company. We will also present to you why we are different from our competitors.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
We are certified installers with 4 different major roofing manufacturer's: Certain-teed, GAF, Owens corning & IKO. We also have certificates on attic ventilation courses, which are very important when installing a new roofing system. All of our employees have training installing a new roofing system, building an up to code ventilation system, doing dry rot repairs, and safety in the roof.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Five star exteriors corporation was formed by a group of roofers and engineers whose experience lies solely in the roofing trade, for two generations. Our goal is to apply our knowledge to install optimized roofing systems that will last a long time and won't have any problems for the entire life of the shingle.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We have previously worked with homeowners, landlords, business owners, insurances, commercial builders, custom home builders, apartment managers, and home owners associations.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We once worked on a residential house in a homeowners association in Lincoln city. The home was right next to the beach on a hill, there was no drive way and the house had shake, the entire roof was massive and all needed to be sheated and install presidential shingles. the access and plants where the biggest challenge, we had to carefully remove the shake and carry it over 200 feet to where the dumpster was. Since there was a lot of expensive plants and valuable things around the house, we had to protect them all with plywood and tarps. This project took about 2 weeks and was a great project where we used all of our skills. Moreover, the roof was very steep and very complex, and there was multiple attic spaces independently connected from each other, we had to create a custom ventilation system to meet code in this home.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
-Always make sure that they are certified to install the material that they're selling, -Make sure they explain to you all the roofing components that they're installing like: the underlayment type, ice and water barrier, metal flashing, valley metals, pipe flashing, starter. A new roof does not only include new shingles. -Make sure the contractor is licensed, bonded & insured -Ask for referrals, or good reviews -Do not simply choose the cheapest contractor, sometimes contractors will drop their price too much just to get the job and as a result they might not pay the material supplier which can lead to them placing a lien in your home.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
When considering a new project you should consider asking yourself the following questions: -What do I want to accomplish with my new renovation? -Has the professional does this type of work before?
