Q&A

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started on a roofing crew 1 week out of high school to earn extra money before college. I decided to stay in the industry. Starting at the very bottom as a grunt on a roofing crew I worked my way up to ownership. It's been 23 years since I climbed on my first roof and I'm still here providing quality service to my customers in an industry that I love.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've primarily worked with homeowners, renters, property managers, realtors, lenders, and builders.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Verify contractors licenses on the Oregon CCB website, it's free. Ask how established they are, how many crews they have, and if they use subcontractors to install their roofs. There are a lot of "one crew" shows out there because it's so easy to get licensed in Oregon. While some are very good, they leave little infrastructure to stand behind their work.
