Introduction

Your home is most likely the largest investment you’ll ever make, and your roof is its most important security blanket! We opened the Stay Dry roofing company because the roofing experience was dull for homeowners. Our goal was to bring a new level of trust and professionalism to your doorstep. Doing what we say we are going to do is a mantra of ours. Stay Dry Roofing contractors are committed to the principles of honesty, integrity, and professionalism in everything we do. Our goal is to communicate efficiently and treat you just like family every step of the way. We want to be a better roofing contractor than most people picture in their minds. I think most people will notice this in the way we handle our business.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Roof pricing primarily depends on the size of your roof, the type of roofing material chosen, the complexity of the roof design, local labor costs, necessary permits and fees, the condition of the existing roof deck, and the steepness of the roof pitch, all contributing to the overall cost of a new roof installation. Material type: Different roofing materials like asphalt shingles, metal panels, slate tiles, or clay tiles have varying costs per square foot. Roof size: Larger roofs require more materials and labor, increasing the overall cost. Roof complexity: A roof with multiple levels, valleys, or intricate designs will generally be more expensive to install. Labor costs: Local labor rates and the roofing contractor's experience significantly impact the price. Permits and fees: Local building codes and required permits can add to the cost of a roof replacement. Roof pitch: Steeper roofs often require additional safety measures, increasing labor costs. Roof deck condition: If the existing roof deck needs repairs or replacement, this will add to the overall cost. Seasonal factors: Peak roofing season may result in higher prices due to increased demand. Location: Geographic factors like climate and local regulations can affect the cost of materials and labor.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
When hiring a local roofing contractor, the best advice is to get multiple quotes from established, licensed, and insured companies with a good reputation in your area, check their past work and references, thoroughly review their written contract details, and ensure they provide a solid warranty for both materials and workmanship; prioritize quality over the cheapest price and always verify their licensing and insurance status before committing to a project. Key points to consider: Check licensing and insurance: Verify that the contractor is properly licensed and carries adequate insurance to cover potential damages during the work. Get multiple quotes: Compare estimates from several local roofing contractors to ensure you're getting a fair price. Ask for references: Request a list of past clients and contact them to inquire about their experience with the contractor. Review online reviews: Check online platforms like the Better Business Bureau for customer reviews and complaints. Thorough inspection and estimate: Make sure the contractor provides a detailed roof inspection and a written estimate outlining the scope of work, materials, and costs. Understand the warranty: Ask about the warranty offered on materials and labor, and ensure you fully understand the terms and conditions. Look for local experience: Prioritize contractors who have significant experience working in your local climate and with the types of roofing systems common in your area. Beware of "storm chasers": Avoid contractors who suddenly appear after a storm, often offering aggressive pricing and may not be reliable. Clear communication: Choose a contractor who communicates openly and clearly throughout the process, addressing any concerns you may have.
